Dani Mocanu (born Daniel Mocanu in 1992 in Bradu, Argeș County) is one of Romania's most talked-about manele artists, mixing the traditional manele sound with heavy doses of rap and trap.
He first broke through in 2016 with his debut album "Nu dau înapoi," which racked up millions of YouTube views and quickly made him a household name across Romania. His lyrics tend to circle around life on the wrong side of the law, revenge, loyalty and faith, delivered with the streetwise swagger that defines his style. Before music he even played youth football for FC Argeș Pitești and FCSB, but the stage soon won out.
