MAIN MOITE Lyrics in English by Lacrim
Daronne is a French slang term for 'mother'. While it means 'mother', it carries a more informal, almost street-level connotation than the standard 'mère'.
In the context of Lacrim's song, it highlights the harsh realities and stress that the mothers of those involved in this lifestyle endure. It's an interesting word choice that reflects the raw and authentic tone of the lyrics, making it memorable for learners.
"Main Moite" is Lacrim looking back at how far he has come from a rough, uncertain start.
He raps about his Algerian roots, brushes with the law as a teenager, and the small circle of family and old friends he still trusts. Money and cars have changed his life, but he insists they have not softened him: he still moves like a wolf, answers disrespect with calm rather than noise, and keeps his guard up around people who only showed up once he made it.
The song ends on a simple wish underneath all the bravado: a few months in Mali, a few months in Bali, and a warning that anyone who crosses him will regret it.
