PLK is short for Polak, a nod to the grandfather who left Poland for France as a small boy during the Second World War. Born Mathieu Pruski in 1997 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris to a Corsican mother, he later moved to Clamart in the Hauts-de-Seine to live with his grandmother. He came up in Panama Bende, a crew of seven young Paris rappers who put out the EP Bende Mafia in 2016 and the album ADN a year later.
After signing with Panenka Music in 2017 he dropped the mixtapes Ténébreux and Platinum, then his first album, Polak, in 2018. Enna, named after his younger brother Enzo and sister Léna and also the name of his own label, went diamond after its reissue. The mixtapes Mental and Chambre 140 both went platinum. His latest album, Grand Garçon, came out in March 2026.
