Niska is Stanislas Dinga-Pinto, born in 1994 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges to Congolese parents and raised in Évry-Courcouronnes, in the Essonne south of Paris. His nickname, the Charo, is short for charognard, a scavenger, and the vulture-wings dance that came with it became Blaise Matuidi's goal celebration at PSG in 2015.
That same year he put out the mixtape Charo Life. Zifukoro went platinum in 2016, and Commando (2017) passed 500,000 sales in under a year to go diamond. Mr Sal reached number one in 2019, the Le monde est méchant mixtape followed in 2021, and in 2024 he and Ninho released the joint album GOAT, which also topped the French chart. Along the way he has worked with Booba, Maître Gims, Aya Nakamura and Diplo.
