LaFee is the stage name of Christina Klein, born in 1990 in Stolberg near Aachen to a German father and a Greek mother. She was sending demo tapes to TV shows at nine, sang on the Austrian children's contest Kiddy Contest at 13.
At 15 she topped the German album chart with her 2006 debut, LaFee, led by the single "Virus". The follow-up, Jetzt erst recht (2007), went to number one as well and gave her her biggest hit, "Heul doch". Her songs are loud teen pop-rock with bluntly rude lyrics, and she has sold more than a million records.
