Thiago Brava, born Thiago de Morais Ramos on June 14, 1986, in Goiânia, Brazil, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter working in the sertanejo style. He took up music as a teenager and broke through in 2017 with the massive hit "Dona Maria," which became one of the most-played sertanejo songs of the year. On this track he is joined by Jorge, one half of the enormously popular duo Jorge & Mateus, whose warm voice carries the song's feel-good chorus. Together they turn a simple story, a nervous young man asking a mother for permission to date her daughter, into a catchy, romantic singalong that charmed the whole country.
