SOPHIA, born Sophia Bauckloh in 1995 in Wetter in western Germany, is a German pop singer and songwriter from North Rhine-Westphalia. She first reached a wide audience in 2021, when the heartfelt songs she posted on TikTok and Instagram took off almost overnight, and her debut single "Niemals allein" arrived that same year.
Since then she has won a loyal following with her warm, emotional voice and honest German lyrics, releasing the albums "Niemals allein", "Wenn es sich gut anfühlt" and "Durch die Blume". She was named Rising Star at the 2022 Goldene Henne awards and even sang the national anthem at Germany’s first regular-season NFL game. "Ein bisschen Weihnachten" is her first Christmas song, a gentle wish that the warmth and togetherness of the season could last all year long.
