Luan Santana is one of Brazil's biggest sertanejo and pop stars, born on March 13, 1991, in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. He started singing sertanejo classics as a young child, and his father gave him his first guitar after spotting the talent.
Santana built a devoted following performing hundreds of shows a year before his 2009 live album, "Luan Santana Ao Vivo," sold over 100,000 copies and made him a household name. His debut studio album went gold on the strength of hits like "Adrenalina," and he has remained one of the country's top-grossing live performers ever since.
With the album "THE COMEBACK," which includes "ILHA," he leaned further into a glossier pop sound while keeping the heartfelt storytelling that first won over Brazilian audiences.
