José Roberto Pulido Jr., known professionally as Bobby Pulido, is a celebrated American singer, songwriter, and actor born on April 25, 1971, in Edinburg, Texas. He gained fame in the mid-1990s by bringing Tejano music to a younger audience, quickly becoming a teen idol among Mexican-American teenagers. Pulido's 1995 debut album, Desvelado, went platinum and featured hits that boosted his rise within the Regional Mexican music scene.

Known for his captivating vocals and genre-blending style incorporating Tejano, Norteño, and Mexican cumbia, Pulido won multiple Tejano Music Awards, including Male Entertainer of the Year for three consecutive years. Aside from music, he has pursued acting roles in telenovelas and television movies while continuing to influence Latin music. In 2022, he earned a Latin Grammy for Best Tejano Album. In 2024, Bobby Pulido announced his retirement from music to embark on a political career with a farewell tour planned for early 2025.
