"Dime Luna" by Maná is a breakup song where the real villain is the moon. The singer has done everything you are supposed to do to get over someone: "Cartas, discos, fotos mi amor / Todo ya lo tiré o lo oculté" (letters, records, photos, my love / I threw it all out or hid it). He even gave away "tu perro, tu guitarra, tus anillos" (your dog, your guitar, your rings) and avoided "tus antros" (your bars). Antros is a very Mexican word for nightclubs or dive bars, worth knowing.
He flees as far as "Madrid, El Cairo y New York", then "el Tibet y al fondo del mar" (Tibet and the bottom of the sea), and it's a bit dramatic in the best way. None of it works, because the moon is still there every night: "¿Cómo se podría quitar del cielo la luna?" (how could you take the moon out of the sky?). Look at pa', the spoken short form of para (for), and anhelo, a lovely word for longing. He even wonders if the moon is "enamorada" (in love) with him, which is why it keeps staring.
