Madame is the stage name of Francesca Calearo, an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper born in 2002 in the Vicenza area of northern Italy. She started writing music as a teenager and signed with Sugar Music at just sixteen, quickly becoming one of the boldest new voices in Italian rap and pop.
In 2021 she made history as the first female rapper to compete in the main section of the Sanremo Music Festival, and her debut album went on to win a prestigious Targa Tenco award. Known for her poetic, brutally honest lyrics and a sound that blends rap, pop and the Italian songwriting tradition, she released "Disincanto" in 2026 as the title track of her third album.
