Hiro is a French singer, songwriter and producer of Congolese descent, and one of the people who opened the door for the afro-French scene. He came up in 2011 as the frontman of BANA C4, the group that carried that Paris-meets-Kinshasa sound onto French radio.
He went solo in 2016 and stayed there, releasing the album De la haine à l'amour and later starting his own label, Millésime Musik. His music sits between rap, Afro and plain pop, and he will switch from French into Lingala inside a single chorus, which is a good part of why it travels.
