GIORDANA ANGI

Giordana Angi grew up between Brittany, where she was born in 1994, and Italy, where her family settled in Aprilia and she trained in classical guitar, jazz vocals, and piano. She first tried Sanremo Giovani in 2012 with "Incognita poesia," but it was the 2018-2019 season of Amici di Maria De Filippi that made her a national name: she placed second and won the Critics' Award.

Her second album, Voglio essere tua, opened at number one on the Italian FIMI albums chart in October 2019, the first time a female artist had done that year. She kept writing rather than repeating herself: Questa fragile bellezza followed in 2022, and by 2023 she'd shifted her focus to an international project based in London, eventually releasing a fourth album, She's So Great. Her collaborators tell their own story too, from a duet with the Belgian songwriter Stromae to "Il nostro amore" with Sting in 2024.
