Felipe Ribeiro, known by his stage name Gamadinho, grew up in Nova Iguaçu, in the Baixada Fluminense region near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He started singing in local samba circles at just fourteen years old, and pagode quickly became the sound that fit his voice best. Before going solo he spent years on stage with several well known pagode groups, including Empolgação, Swing & Simpatia, Pique Novo, and Estilo X, building a following long before he ever released music under his own name.
Gamadinho stepped into the spotlight as a contestant on The Voice Brasil, and since then his solo career has taken off, racking up tens of millions of streams. He has worked with producers Suel and Allan Lima on a run of new recordings, and his songs anchor the audiovisual project Pagode de Amor, a showcase for the romantic side of the genre he grew up on. His music leans into heartbreak, longing, and the everyday drama of relationships, delivered with the smooth, guitar driven groove that has always defined pagode.
