Frijolero Lyrics in English Molotov

Below, I translated the lyrics of the song Frijolero by Molotov from Spanish to English.
Verse 1
I'm already fed up
That they put a sombrero on me
So listen when I say
Don't call me beaner
And even though some respect exists
Let's not stick our noses in
Because we inflate the currency
By waging war on other countries
We pay you with oil
And interest on our debt
Meanwhile we don't know
Who takes the loot
Even if they give us the fame
That we are sellers
Of the drug that we sow
You are consumers
Chorus 1
Don't call me gringo, you f*ckin' beaner
Stay on your side of that goddamn river
Don't call me gringo, you beaner
Don't call me beaner, Mr. J*rk-off
I'll give you a fright for being a racist a**hole
Don't call me beaner
F*cking gringo j*rk-off
Verse 2
Now I wish I had a dime
For every single time
I've gotten stared down
For being in the wrong side of town
And a rich man I'd be
If I had that kind of chips
Lately I wanna smack the mouths
Of these racists
You can imagine from outside
Being a Mexican crossing the border
Thinking about your family while you pass
Leaving everything that you know behind
You'd have to dodge the bullets
Of a few rancher gringos
You'll keep calling them
And you'd have to start from zero
Now why don't you look down to where your feet is planted
That U.S. soil that makes you take sh*t for granted
If not for Santa Anna, just to let you know
That where your feet are planted would be Mexico
Correct!
Chorus 2
Don't call me gringo, you beaner
Stay on your side of that goddamn river
Don't call me gringo, you beaner
Don't call me beaner, Mr. J*rk-off
I'll give you a fright for being a racist a**hole
Don't call me beaner
F*cking gringo j*rk-off
Chorus 3
Don't call me gringo, you beaner
Stay on your side of that goddamn river
Don't call me gringo, you beaner
Don't call me beaner, Mr. J*rk-off
I'll give you a fright for being a racist a**hole
Don't call me beaner
F*cking gringo j*rk-off

SONG MEANING

Frijolero is a fiery, bilingual punch against racism, border politics, and economic hypocrisy. Molotov’s singers trade verses in Spanish and English, hurling back the slurs that Mexican migrants often hear (“frijolero,” “beaner”) while exposing how both nations are tangled in the same money-making games. The track flips stereotypes on their head: Mexicans are blamed for drugs, yet the U.S. buys them; Mexico pays its debt with oil, yet never learns who pockets the profits. By reminding listeners that much of today’s American Southwest was once Mexico, the band questions who really belongs on which “side of that goddamn river.”

Under the humor and colorful insults lies a serious invitation to empathy. Molotov asks you to picture dodging bullets while crossing the border, leaving family and home behind, then enduring suspicion in every “wrong” neighborhood. The roaring guitars and rapid-fire rhymes amplify a demand for respect: Don’t call me gringo, don’t call me frijolero. Instead, face the shared history, the economic ties, and the human stories that connect both sides of the Rio Grande.
