Después is the soundtrack of a hangover, and La Santa Grifa is not sorry about it. Every chorus starts the same way: "Después de una noche de loquera, me levanto en la mañana y digo 'qué pinche peda'" (After a crazy night, I get up in the morning and say 'what a damn binge'). In Mexico a peda is a big drinking session and the cruda is the hangover that follows. His cure? "Me la cura una chela y unos toques de hierba" (a beer and a few hits of weed cure it). A chela is a beer, and a Guama is a big bottle of beer.
The verses are funny little scenes: checking the stove to see if anyone cooked, going to the fridge on a Sunday at 3 in the afternoon still drunk, hoping his mom (la jefa) left some food. He admits "ya sé que soy huevón" (I know I'm lazy) and brags that his week has "tres sábados y dos domingos" (three Saturdays and two Sundays). The ending is the best joke: that's only if he wakes up at all, because he usually crashes "como piedra" (like a rock). It is crude and full of slang, so expect a lot of swearing.
