J'ai accepté par erreur
I accepted by mistake
Ton invitation
Your invitation
J'ai dû me gourer dans l'heure
I must have messed up the time
J'ai dû me planter dans la saison
I must have messed up the season
Si j'ai confondu
If I confused
Avec celle qui sourit pas
With the one who doesn't smile
Mais, celle qu'est belle bien entendu
But, the one who is beautiful, of course
Et, qui dit belle dit pour moi
And, who says beautiful says to me
You know I'm not in my right mind
Si j'ai toujours raison
If I'm always right
You know I'm not a nice guy
Et je meurs tout ça, tout ça
And I'm dying, all of it, all of it
Tu sais j'ai pas confiance
You know I don't have confidence
J'ai pas confiance en moi
I don't have confidence in myself
Tu sais j'ai pas d'espérance
You know I have no hope
Et je meurs tout ça, tout ça
And I'm dying, all of it, all of it
Si tu veux on parle de toi
If you want, we can talk about you
Si tu veux on parle de moi
If you want, we can talk about me
Let's talk about your future revenge that you'll have on me
Disons entrecoupée de silence
Let's say, interrupted by silence
That we're alone for once
That we're well on our way to a dance
Ca ira pas plus loin tu vois
It won't go any further, you see
J'ai accepté par erreur
I accepted by mistake
Ton invitation
Your invitation
J'ai dû me gourer dans l'heure
I must have messed up the time
J'ai dû me planter dans la saison
I must have messed up the season
J'ai accepté par erreur
I accepted by mistake
Ton invitation
Your invitation
J'ai dû me gourer dans l'heure
I must have messed up the time
J'ai dû me planter dans la saison
I must have messed up the season
It remains to be seen if we draw a line, a dot in our space
Si j'ai pas toute ma raison
If I'm not in my right mind
Si j'ai toujours raison
If I'm always right
You know I'm not in my right mind
Si j'ai toujours raison
If I'm always right
You know I'm not in my right mind
Si j'ai toujours raison
If I'm always right
You know I'm not completely right

gourer — to mess up / to get wrong

Se gourer is a colloquial French verb meaning "to mess up" or "to get wrong". It's a more informal and colorful way to say se tromper.

In the song, the narrator sings, "J'ai dû me gourer dans l'heure, J'ai dû me planter dans la saison" (I must have messed up the time, I must have gotten the season wrong). This word adds a touch of casual self-deprecation and makes the lyrics feel more authentic and relatable, as if the narrator is speaking directly to you.

"Ton Invitation" is Louise Attaque needling themselves before the other person can. The narrator opens by admitting "J'ai accepté par erreur / Ton invitation" ["I accepted by mistake / Your invitation"], then spends the song working out how badly he misjudged the moment — wrong hour, wrong season, maybe the wrong person entirely. He owns it outright: "Tu sais j'ai pas toute ma raison" ["You know I'm not in my right mind"], and warns her flatly that a "future vengeance" is coming his way for it.

The charm is in the shrug. Nothing here escalates into real heartbreak — it stays a running joke about being unreliable, closing on the same line it half-argues with itself over: "Si j'ai toujours raison" ["If I'm always right"]. A song for anyone who's shown up somewhere they probably shouldn't have.
