To miss me
And want to be with me
You hide it very well
You have to teach me how it's done
So I can learn and I do it with you
To miss me
And say that you think of me every moment
Let me tell you
That you fake it very well
To confuse the language of time
And evade the distance of the kiss
Those that we gave each other
That's how I am
That's how I am
Like the wind that blows in favor of your wind
That's how I am
I want to think that you'll also blow
In favor of my love and that you only teach me
To forget like you
Remembering me only when we're together
I want to think that I'll also blow
In favor of your love and that I'll learn
To forget like you
Remembering you only when we're together
Together
To miss you

burlarto mock, to evade

Burlar means 'to mock' or 'to evade'. It's an interesting word because it implies a cleverness in overcoming something, rather than just avoiding it.

In the song, the lyrics "Confundir al idioma del tiempo y burlar la distancia del beso" (To confuse the language of time and evade the distance of the kiss) use burlar to suggest a playful defiance against the obstacles of time and distance in a relationship. It paints a picture of lovers cleverly overcoming challenges to be together.

Andrés Cepeda spends this song asking for a lesson he would rather not need. The woman he is singing to apparently misses him — "Para extrañarme / Y querer estar conmigo / Lo disimulas muy bien" ("To miss me / And want to be with me / You hide it very well") — so he asks her, half-bitterly, to show him the trick: "Tienes que enseñarme como se hace" ("You have to teach me how it's done"). By the second verse hiding has become pretending: "Déjame decirte / Que lo finges muy bien" ("Let me tell you / That you fake it very well").

The chorus answers with the image the whole song rests on. "Así soy yo / Como el viento que sopla a favor de tu viento" ("That's how I am / Like the wind that blows in favor of your wind") — he moves the way she moves, and wants to believe she will do the same for him. What he suspects instead is that the only thing she is teaching him is her own habit: "A olvidar como tú / Recordándome solo cuando estamos juntos" ("To forget like you / Remembering me only when we're together").
