Color Esperanza Lyrics in English by Diego Torres
Embarcar literally means "to embark" or "to board" (a ship, plane, etc.). It's a word that evokes the beginning of a journey or a new adventure.
In "Color Esperanza," the lyric "Es mejor perderse que nunca embarcar" (It's better to get lost than never to embark) uses this word metaphorically. It encourages listeners to take risks and start new endeavors, even if the outcome is uncertain, rather than staying stagnant out of fear. This powerful message makes embarcar a truly inspiring and memorable word in the song.
Have you ever felt like you're just walking in circles, completely tired of everything? That's exactly who Diego Torres is singing to in this song. He starts by saying, "Sé qué hay en tus ojos con solo mirar / Que estás cansado de andar y de andar" (I know what's in your eyes just by looking / That you're tired of walking and walking). But this isn't a sad song! It's an incredibly powerful pep talk, a call to shake off your fears and believe that things can get better.
The whole point is that you have the power to change your own life. Torres insists, "Cambiar el aire depende de ti" (Changing the air depends on you). The chorus is a command to be brave: "Quitarse los miedos, sacarlos afuera / Pintarse la cara color a esperanza" (Take off your fears, get them out / Paint your face the color of hope). It's about actively choosing optimism and trying again, even when it's hard. The song argues it's better to try and fail than to never start at all, because life will always change, and sadness will eventually go away.
