Débridé literally means “unrestricted” or “unleashed.” It comes from bride, a bridle, so the word originally suggests removing a horse’s restraints.
In the song, it describes an engine that does not need to be modified to go faster: “Le moteur n’a pas b’soin d’être débridé.” It is a vivid, memorable word that can also describe anything wild, uninhibited, or without limits.
"CYBERTESLA" is L2B doing a full victory lap, and he barely stops to breathe. The hook opens with a car so fast that "Le moteur n'a pas b'soin d'être débridé" [the engine doesn't need to be unrestricted], then the "Poh, poh, poh" of an AMG, the high-performance Mercedes line. He calls himself "Bon chic, bon genre" [classy and well-bred], the old French label for posh, preppy people, which is funny coming from a rapper bragging about cash. "jet au Bourget" [jet at Le Bourget] points to the Paris airport where private jets land. The police, "les keufs" [the cops, in verlan slang], want to search him and are shocked by "dix balles en papier" [ten bucks in paper], where "balles" is slang for money. His best line of advice: "N'essaye jamais de nager où t'as pas pied" [never try to swim where you can't touch the bottom], meaning don't play in a league above yours.
The verses pile on the flexing. A Rolex Jubilee watch in rose gold, a Cybertruck he calls "une armure" [armour], a Rolls-Royce ("le RR"), an album gone "platine en triple" [triple platinum]. Under the shine it gets darker and more blunt: he jokes about the taxman breaking down his door, talks about a Glock, and lands some genuinely nasty threats. "Intouchable comme la mouche" [untouchable like the fly] is a great image, since nobody ever swats a fly on the first try. The football line "je les dribble" [I dribble past them] sums up his attitude to rivals: no more passes, he just goes around them.
