El De La Kush Lyrics in English by Diferente Nivel
"El De La Kush" is a smoker's anthem, plain and simple. Diferente Nivel open with "prendo el gallo" (I light up the joint). In Mexican slang a gallo is literally a rooster, but here it means a joint, and kush in the title is a strain of weed. The next lines leave no doubt: "esta hierba poder quemar" (to be able to burn this herb).
What makes the song fun is how calm it insists it is. The narrator says "me gusta sentir que voy volando" (I like feeling like I'm flying) and that time is stopping before he lands.
