"1 Entre 100" is Recycled J looking around at a scene where everybody wants the same thing. The hook keeps circling one idea: "Si aquí todos quieren ser el nuevo chico del mes" (if everyone here wants to be the new boy of the month), but "sólo hay uno entre 100" (there's only one in a hundred). Fame, money, power, "mi porción del pastel" (my slice of the cake), and even a Nobel Prize get thrown on the pile with a shrug: "¿premio Nobel y qué?" (Nobel Prize, so what?).
The verses get sharper. "Lobos vestidos de corderos" (wolves dressed as lambs) is the Spanish version of wolves in sheep's clothing, and he adds that he has already sold those skins. People said he wasn't good enough ("no daba la nota", literally "didn't hit the note"), and now they wear his clothing brand. The line "Aquí to es aparentar" (here everything is about appearances) uses to, a clipped street form of todo, and sums up his complaint.
The ending turns the mirror on the listener: "¿Qué vas a hacer con tu vida cuando todo esto termine?" (what are you going to do with your life when all this ends?), "cuando se acabe la peli" (when the movie is over, peli being short for película). And the question he keeps asking, "Brother, dime qué ves" (brother, tell me what you see), is a bit preachy but honestly catchy.
