NUNCA ME FUI is LOUTA insisting he never left. The hook is almost stubbornly simple: "Nunca me fui" (I never left), then "Siempre estuve acá" (I was always here), said twice, like someone tapping you on the shoulder until you finally turn around. "Acá" is the Argentine way of saying "here", where Spain would usually say "aquí", so it's a nice word to pick up.
The verse gets dreamy and a little odd in a good way. "Para frenar las horas, giro el sol" (to stop the hours, I turn the sun) and "No hay calculadora para ser mejor" (there's no calculator for being better) are his way of saying life doesn't come with a formula. He admits "Nunca se delatan las razones de la vida" (life's reasons never give themselves away), but "si se suman, da la explicación" (if you add them up, you get the explanation). Then come the plans: walk on the tablecloth, "romper mi pared" (break my wall), live a million years like the sunrise. Asking "¿A dónde voy después?" (where do I go next?) while claiming he never left is the whole charm of the song.
