Paty Cantú and Matisse sing about someone who can't let go, even after being told no. It opens with a great pair of images: "Voy persiguiendo tormentas de ti" (I keep chasing storms of you), "Pero siempre regreso al desierto de mí" (but I always come back to the desert of me). The other person is the storm, and life without them is dry, empty ground.
The chorus is the heart of it. The singer calls the thought of never seeing this person again "la ridícula idea" (the ridiculous idea), because "Yo cierro los ojos y estás" (I close my eyes and you're there). Watch for "no da pa' vivir": pa' is short for para, and the phrase means a love that "isn't enough to live on". The line "Puedes irte, olvidarme, borrarme y hasta dolerme" (you can leave, forget me, erase me and even hurt me) is a nice list of verbs to learn, and it ends with the twist: you still can't make me stop adoring you. It's a bit dramatic, and that's the point.
