ENGLISH LYRICS TRANSLATION

I am growing and feel changes in my
I think I'm right about everything
And I think I'm always going to be young
I ignore the elderly
I feel that they don't understand me, that it would be better
Don't live more, don't live longer
And so they will repent and say he was right.
Of what he did, of what he did
And one day the sky lit me up
And one day the sky lit me up
I send an angel with honey-colored eyes
I saw it when I was meditating in the garden.
He approached me telling me I was too young.
And so we talked many more things, many more things
Until I understood, things I didn't understand about life
And that's how I started to change with everyone.

And so it was that I saw life in another color.
I feel like they don't understand me
That would be better, not to live more, not to live more
And so they will repent and say he was right.
Of what he did, of what he did
I feel like they don't understand me
That would be better, not to live more, not to live more
And so they will repent and say he was right.
Of what he did, of what he did

Los Ángeles Azules are a Mexican musical group playing cumbia music since the 1980's. It was formed by the siblings of the Mejía Avante family: Elías, Alfredo, José Hilario, Jorge, Cristina and Guadalupe. In 1997, they had a huge hit with "Cómo Te Voy a Olvidar", re-recorded many hits with guest vocalists including Carla Morrison, Lila Downs, and Ximena Sariñana in 2013. In 2018, they released one of their most popular albums, Esto Sí Es Cumbia, which consists entirely of cover songs. This includes interpretations of "Nunca Es Suficiente" with Natalia Lafourcade, "Me Cuesta Tanto Olvidarte" with Ana Torroja, "Perdón, Perdón" with Ha*Ash, "El Amor Después del Amor" with Fito Paéz, among others. In 2018, they played on the Coachella Stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, making it the first time a traditional cumbia group has played at the popular festival.
