Malherido Lyrics in English by Cultura Profética, Dread Mar I
Malherido literally translates to "sorely wounded" or "badly hurt." It's a more intense and evocative word than simply saying "hurt" or "wounded."
In the context of the song, the singer uses malherido to describe his heart after a painful breakup. It conveys a deep sense of emotional injury and lingering pain, making it a powerful and memorable word to feature.
Have you ever regretted a goodbye kiss? Cultura Profética, with Dread Mar I, definitely has in "Malherido" [Badly Wounded]. This song is all about that moment of realization when you know a relationship is truly over, even if your heart hasn't quite caught up yet.
The lyrics kick off with a powerful regret: "Hoy me arrepiento / Del último beso que te di" [Today I regret / The last kiss I gave you]. Ouch! It's that feeling when you look back and see all the signs you missed, like "Tus labios sin ganas / Tocaron los míos" [Your lips without desire / Touched mine]. The singer knows it's over, but he's left with a "corazón malherido" [badly wounded heart]. He acknowledges that the memories will stick around for a bit ("Tus recuerdos me perseguirán un tiempo" [Your memories will haunt me for a while]), but he's determined to heal. He even says, "Pero sé que un día / Un buen día, sanaré" [But I know that one day / A good day, I will heal]. It's a journey from heartbreak to hope, reminding us that even after the toughest goodbyes, healing is possible.
