This song, "Amor Mortal" by Los Inquietos del Norte, is a pretty intense declaration of love and obsession! The singer tells us he's really suffering, saying "me hace estar bastante de lo que te imaginas" [it makes me be more than you imagine] and that his nights are a "pesadilla" [nightmare]. He even says he'd give his life to be near his love's bed, just to be with them forever.
He's basically saying this love is so strong, it's killing him. He can't let another day go by without his beloved, exclaiming "este amor me está matando" [this love is killing me] and that he feels his soul burning. He admits he's not the same person he used to be, blaming "el alcohol y tus recuerdos poco a poco al matándome" [alcohol and your memories are slowly killing me]. It's a dramatic, all-consuming kind of love that he feels he can't escape.
