Sanaré means "I will heal" (from the verb sanar). It's a beautiful and hopeful word that stands out in the lyrics, offering comfort and restoration.
In the song, Jennifer Lopez sings, "Toma mi cuerpo y sanaré tus heridas" (Take my body and I will heal your wounds). This line is a powerful promise of emotional and physical healing, making sanaré a deeply meaningful and enticing word for learners.
The song starts at sea. "En medio del mar / Buscando un puerto y anclar" ("Out in the middle of the sea / Looking for a harbor to anchor in"), and the man she is singing to moves past her the way water does: "Tú vienes y vas / Así como las olas" ("You come and you go / Just like the waves"). She names what keeps him out there, and it is not freedom: "Sin admitir que la verdad te da miedo / Volver amar" ("Without admitting that the truth frightens you / To love again").
The chorus is an offer made one piece at a time. "Toma de mí, toma mi alma y te daré mi alegría" ("Take from me, take my soul and I will give you my joy"), then the body, then the faith: "Toma de mí, toma mi fe y seré yo el mar de tu isla" ("Take from me, take my faith and I will be the sea around your island"). That last image answers the opening, because an island is held by the water around it. In the second verse he pulls further in, "Cierras tus alas / Para no volar" ("You close your wings / So that you never fly"), and what she has left is the same promise and one instruction: "Ya no des marcha atrás" ("Don't turn back now").
