Acordar Lyrics in English by Fresno
Recomeço translates to "new beginning" or "restart". It's a beautiful and hopeful word that captures the essence of renewal and fresh starts.
In the context of the song, the lyrics express a desire to break free from a stagnant or painful past and embrace a new life. The phrase "todo dia vai ser pra sempre um recomeço" (every day will forever be a new beginning) perfectly encapsulates the theme of transformation and finding hope in a new relationship.
Acordar feels like the soundtrack to opening your eyes after a very long nap. The singer steps outside, hungry for sunlight, wind and color — anything that can shake him out of an emotional “coma.” He watches the sun invade him, scrubbing away every shade of gray, so he can finally write feelings that words can barely hold. Each line paints a vivid picture of rebirth: I’m born, I grow, I get sick, I die a little, only to rise again with more courage and brighter hues.
The song then flips the hospital metaphor on its head: the narrator signs his own release papers, pulls the plugs and sprints straight toward someone special. With that person, every single day becomes another first day, an endless cycle of fresh starts. “Acordar” is ultimately a celebration of self-awakening, the decision to leave your old self behind and dive into life’s colors hand in hand with someone who makes the darkness disappear.
