This is a breakup song that starts in a cold room. "Cero, hay cero grados en mi habitación" (Zero, it's zero degrees in my room) is how he describes the space where the two of them used to share "noches de pasión" (nights of passion). The person who used to say his name all night now doesn't even ask about him: "Y hoy ya ni preguntas por mí" (And today you don't even ask about me).
What he wants most is an honest answer. He asks her to "háblame a la cara" (talk to me to my face), and the chorus keeps circling one question: "Dime si fue un error confesarte que te amaba" (Tell me if it was a mistake to confess that I loved you). There's a very modern touch too: "textéame" is Spanglish, built from the English text, so he's literally saying "text me now and then".
The best part is how kind the ending is. "No me pidas perdón, no es tu culpa si no hay nada" (Don't ask me for forgiveness, it's not your fault if there's nothing). Then the song turns into a cumbia party, with shout-outs "Desde Perú, Grupo 5" (From Peru, Grupo 5) and "Colombia pa'l mundo" (Colombia to the world), since Charlie Zaa is Colombian and Grupo 5 are Peruvian cumbia stars. Sad lyrics, dancing feet.
