Victoria Lyrics in English by Dalex, Sech
Perico literally means "parrot" in Spanish. However, in many Latin American countries, it's also a common slang term for cocaine.
In the song, Dalex sings, "Me compré un carro color perico" (I bought a car the color of perico). While it could literally mean a bright green car like a parrot, given the context of the song's themes of partying, drugs, and illicit activities, it strongly implies a car the color of cocaine, which is typically white. This double meaning makes the word particularly intriguing and reflective of the song's edgy content.
Get ready for a bold and confident track from Dalex and Sech! "Victoria" is all about a guy trying to convince a girl to leave her boring boyfriend and spend a wild night out with him instead. He's pretty direct, telling her, "Si él no te saca y siempre te tiene aburrida / Dile que hoy tú te vas pa' el club con tus amigas" [If he doesn't take you out and always has you bored / Tell him that today you're going to the club with your friends].
He promises to take her somewhere private, away from prying eyes, and suggests that if her boyfriend calls, he can imagine whatever he wants because she'll be with him. The song even mentions taking off her "Victoria" – likely a reference to Victoria's Secret lingerie – as a sign of their escalating night. He's confident she won't want to go back to her old relationship, boasting, "No vas a querer volver" [You won't want to go back]. It's a fun, slightly rebellious track about seizing the moment and choosing excitement over a dull relationship.
