"Besándote" (Kissing You) is a crush song with a stubborn streak. Taylor Diaz opens with "Últimamente todos me hablan de ti" (lately everyone talks to me about you), and he admits she is "el tipo de mujer que nunca podré tener" (the kind of woman I'll never be able to have). So he settles for the next best thing: "cierro los ojos y estoy besándote" (I close my eyes and I'm kissing you), even knowing "nunca me vas a mirar" (you're never going to look at me).
He is not giving up, though. He ignores the gossip, "me olvidé de lo que me dijeron que eres" (I forgot what they told me you are), and promises "si tú estás en Suiza, te encontraré" (if you're in Switzerland, I'll find you), which is a fun bit of over-the-top devotion. Watch the line "No tengas cuidado que voy tras de usted": he switches from the casual tú to the formal usted in the middle of flirting, a playful, almost old-fashioned move. Grammar bonus: this song is full of pronouns glued onto verbs, like besándote (kissing you), observándote (watching you) and tocándote (touching you).
