Voy a darte un buen consejo
I'm going to give you some good advice
Si quieres llegar a viejo
If you want to grow old
No te enganches con lo malo
Don't get hooked on the bad
Nada bueno deja eso
Nothing good leaves that
Si crees que es dinero fácil
If you think it's easy money
Ponle atención a estos versos
Pay attention to these verses
Hay sueños que se te cumplen
There are dreams that come true
Y después son pesadillas
And then they are nightmares
Pierdes lo más importante
You lose the most important thing
Libertad y la familia
Freedom and family
Eso si tuviste suerte
That's if you were lucky
Y no perdiste la vida
And you didn't lose your life
Siempre existen más opciones
There are always more options
Para salir adelante
To get ahead
No todo es como lo pintan
Not everything is as they paint it
Una vez que te enredaste
Once you got tangled
Solo quedan dos caminos
There are only two paths left
El del panteón o la cárcel
The one in the pantheon or the prison
Carros lujos y mujeres
Luxury cars and women
¿Crees que los conseguirías?
Do you think you would get them?
¿Cuánto tiempo has de tardarte
How long do you have to take
Para cuando llegue el día
For when the day comes
En que sepas que ese mundo
In which you know that that world
Es mentira y fantasía?
Is it a lie and fantasy?
Piensa bien y no te enredes
Think well and don't get entangled
Recuerda lo que te digo
Remember what I tell you
Siempre lo más importante
Always the most important
La familia y los amigos
Family and friends
Respirar el aire libre
Breathe the fresh air
Y poder vivir tranquilo
And be able to live in peace
Problemas con el gobierno
Problems with the government
También con los enemigos
Also with enemies
Seguro vas a tenerlos
You will surely have them
Si agarras ese camino
If you take that path
Mejor piénsalo dos veces
Better think twice
Es un consejo de amigo
It's a friend's advice
