"Esta Noche" (Tonight) is a breakup song where the plan is simple: drink, call friends over and forget her. It opens with "Hay que celebrar esta noche" (we have to celebrate tonight) and right away "No quiero recordar anoche" (I don't want to remember last night). The party is a cover story. The singer keeps asking "No sé por qué yo pienso en ti" (I don't know why I think about you) when "tú me quebraste a mí" (you broke me).
The fix he chooses is very regional Mexican: "Pásenme otra botella" (pass me another bottle) and "Inviten unas morras" (invite some girls). Morras is Mexican slang for girls or young women, and el cora' is a short, affectionate way of saying el corazón (the heart), which he says feels "muy gris" (very grey). He swings between "No quiero a más que a ti" (I don't want anyone but you) and the promise "Sin ti voy a sobresalir" (without you I'm going to stand out). The blunt English sign-off says the rest. It is a very honest picture of trying to party your way out of heartbreak and not quite managing it.
