Alleen Door Jou Lyrics in English by Famke Louise, Ronnie Flex

Vlok translates to "flake", most commonly referring to a snowflake. It's a charming and somewhat whimsical word that evokes a specific image.

In the song, Famke Louise sings, "In de sneeuw als een vlok, Vallen voor jou als een blok" (In the snow like a flake, Falling for you like a block). She uses vlok to paint a picture of delicate beauty, contrasting it immediately with the idiom "vallen als een blok" (to fall head over heels), creating a playful and endearing expression of falling in love.

“Alleen Door Jou” turns winter into one big love-fest. Over a shimmering beat by Esko, Dutch pop sensation Famke Louise teams up with the ever-smooth Ronnie Flex to confess that holiday magic is not about presents, lights, or snowflakes—it all comes from one special person. Famke’s heartbeat goes klik-klok as she melts like a snowman whenever her lover is near, painting a playful picture of slipping through DMs, brushing off other guys, and realizing she needs nothing else under the tree.

Ronnie slides in with his signature laid-back charm, promising to wrap his wings around her and grant every wish. Together, they show that true Christmas spirit is the warmth, safety, and excitement found in each other’s arms. The chorus—“Alleen door jou voelt het als kerst” (“Only because of you it feels like Christmas”)—reminds us that love can make every day feel like December 25, complete with twinkling lights inside your chest and a rhythm that goes klik-klok all night long.
