Alejandro Santamaria is a Colombian singer and songwriter working in Latin pop. He records for Universal Music Latin, and his arrangements stay soft and uncluttered behind a close, conversational vocal.
His self-titled 2019 release was followed by Despierto in 2022 and a steady run of singles since. He belongs to the wave of Colombian pop that also produced Sebastian Yatra, Mike Bahia and Cali y El Dandee.
He writes mostly about relationships, in plain everyday Spanish, so the vocabulary is close to what people really say.
