ROUGE

Rouge formed in Brazil in 2002, when the television talent show Popstars picked five singers, Aline Wirley, Fantine Thó, Karin Hils, Li Martins, and Lu Andrade, out of roughly 30,000 hopefuls. Their debut album sold more than two million copies, the best-selling record by a female group in Brazilian history, driven by hits like "Ragatanga," which topped the charts for eleven straight weeks, plus "Não Dá pra Resistir" (Can't Resist It) and "Beijo Molhado" (Wet Kiss).

After splitting up in 2005 following the album Mil e Uma Noites (A Thousand and One Nights), Rouge returned to the studio in 2018, and their fifth album, Les 5inq, gave them their first new music in fourteen years. Across both eras the group has sold around six million records, the biggest total for a girl group anywhere in Latin America.
