Danyl is a French-Algerian rapper and singer, born Danyl Boudali on October 25, 1998, in Saint-Maurice, just outside Paris. His parents are of Kabyle and Sahraoui Algerian origin, and he grew up between Créteil and the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
He started learning piano at a conservatory from the age of six, and that classical training still shapes his music today. Self-taught as a composer and beatmaker, Danyl blends raï, the music his father loved, with French and American rap, creating a sound that feels both modern and rooted in his family's heritage.
He released his EP KHEDMA 2 in December 2023, following on from KHEDMA 1 (the project "Galbi" comes from), and put out his first full album, Zmig, in January 2025. Across his songs he often explores love, heartbreak, and what it means to grow up between two cultures.
