Me Gusta is a bilingual party list of everything Anitta likes, and she is not shy about any of it. The hook is "A mí me gusta" (I like it), and the song keeps stuttering it into "A mí me gu-" like she is too excited to finish the word. A handy grammar lesson hides in there: in Spanish you do not "like" things, things "please you", so me gusta is one thing and me gustan is several, as in "A mí me gustan las mujeres" (I like women).
Cardi B grabs the middle and says it with her chest: "A mí me gusta el dinero, no te cofunda'" (I like money, don't get it twisted), with the s dropped Caribbean-style. She also brags "Yo tengo el sazón de una afro-latina" (I have the flavour of an Afro-Latina), where sazón is seasoning, so she means style and spice, and moves her waist "como Shakira" (like Shakira). Myke Towers closes on a love story that is mostly lust, calling her "mi alma gemela" (my soulmate). It is loud, cheeky and very explicit in places, so expect plenty of slang alongside the easy present-tense verbs.
