Du warst wie die Sonne
You were like the sun
Und ich war wie der Mond
And I was like the moon
Das klingt zwar ziemlich dämlich
That sounds pretty stupid
Doch das trifft die Sache schon
But that's about it
Wir hatten beide das Gefühl
We both had that feeling
Als kenn wir uns ne Ewigkeit
It's like we've known each other forever
Darin haben wir und dann verloren
In that we lost and then lost
Und finden kostet zeit
And finding it takes time
Bitte gehe nicht weg
Please do not go away
Bitte gehe nie wieder wieder weg
Please never leave again
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein ganzes Leben lang
My whole life
Hab' ich von sowas nur geträumt
I only dreamed about something like that
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein Leben fliegt mir um die Ohren
My life is flying around my ears
I can't change it, I'm sorry
Als wir uns dann trafen
Then when we met
Eigentlich war es viel zu spät
Actually, it was far too late
Du und ich das passte nicht zusammen
You and I didn't mix
Aber soviel wir uns verstehen
But as far as we understand each other
Wir trauten kaum uns anzusehen
We hardly dared to look at each other
Jeder Blick war schon zu viel
Every look was too much
It can not be what may not be
Und dabei waren wir nun am Ziel
And we had now reached our goal
Bitte gehe nicht weg
Please do not go away
Bitte gehe nie wieder wieder weg
Please never leave again
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein ganzes Leben lang
My whole life
Hab ich von sowas nur geträumt
I only dreamed about something like that
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein Leben fliegt mir um die Ohren
My life is flying around my ears
I can't change it, I'm sorry
Wir ließen es geschehen
We let it happen
Wir haben uns getarnt
We camouflaged ourselves
Und hatten immer das Gefühl
And always had that feeling
Das jemand anders für uns plant
That someone else is planning for us
Der Kopf schreit immer wieder nein
The head keeps screaming no
Der Bauch hört gar nicht hin
Your stomach doesn't even listen
Was zum Teufel soll ich tun
What the hell am I supposed to do?
Das hat doch keinen Sinn
That doesn't make any sense
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein ganzes Leben lang
My whole life
Hab' ich von sowas nur geträumt
I only dreamed about something like that
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein Leben fliegt mir um die Ohren
My life is flying around my ears
I can't change it, I'm sorry
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein ganzes Leben lang
My whole life
Hab' ich von sowas nur geträumt
I only dreamed about something like that
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein Leben fliegt mir um die Ohren
My life is flying around my ears
I can't change it, I'm sorry
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
Mein ganzes Leben lang
My whole life
Hab' ich von sowas nur geträumt
I only dreamed about something like that
Hey, I was so looking forward to seeing you
