This is a sweet, unguarded love song from Los Primos De Durango, the kind of duranguense ballad where the singer just lists every little thing his partner does and admits he is hopelessly gone.
It opens with breakfast in bed: "Me preparas un rico desayuno y me lo llevas a la cama" (you make me a delicious breakfast and bring it to me in bed). Note that rico here means tasty, not rich. From there he piles up details: her face full of ternura (tenderness), the sweetness of her lips, the voice that says "te amo" (I love you). He even confesses "me he vuelto un adicto a llenarte de caricias" (I've become addicted to covering you in caresses), which is about as cheesy and charming as it gets.
The chorus is the big promise: "este amor llegó para quedarse" (this love came to stay), and he says he would never tire of looking into her eyes. It all lands on the title line, "Que tú has sido en mi vida mi mejor regalo" (that you have been the best gift of my life). Listen for the spoken shout-out in the middle, "Puro sentimiento duranguense", a proud nod to the Durango-style sound the band plays. Bonus vocab: ojitos is the cute diminutive of ojos (eyes).
