"2.2.4 Hoy, Mañana Y Siempre" ("Today, Tomorrow and Always") is Gera MX at his most heartbroken. He opens alone in bed, "besando la ansiedad por la noche" (kissing anxiety at night), and the image that sticks is the royal one: "Te quise hacer mi reina, pero quemaste mi trono" (I wanted to make you my queen, but you burned my throne). Later the castle falls and his tower breaks, and his dad's old advice comes back to sting: "niño, no te enamores" (kid, don't fall in love).
The chorus is short and blunt. "Dice que ya me olvidó, que ese cora se rompió" (She says she already forgot me, that that heart broke). Cora is casual slang for corazón, heart, and you will hear it all over Latin rap. The verses get specific in a way that hurts: she goes to the antro (Mexican slang for a nightclub) and forgets him after five drinks, while he missed her birthday on "otra gira con los vagos" (another tour with the guys). My favourite line is the wordplay "Quise ser tu equipo, pero nunca tu equipaje" (I wanted to be your team, but never your baggage). It is a breakup song where he admits he is part of the problem, which makes it land harder.
