Rigoberta Bandini is the stage name of Paula Ribó, a singer, actor, and writer born in Barcelona in 1990. She started out dubbing films in Spanish and Catalan as a child, then trained at the city's Institut del Teatre before co-founding the theatrical pop trio Las Mamzelles, who released two albums together in the early 2010s. In 2019 she reinvented herself as Rigoberta Bandini, taking the name from human rights activist Rigoberta Menchú and the John Fante character Arturo Bandini.

Her solo singles "In Spain We Call It Soledad," "Perra," and "Ay Mamá" built a huge following before landing on her 2022 debut album, La Emperatriz. A year later she won a Goya Award for "Yo Solo Quiero Amor," written for the film Te Estoy Amando Locamente. Her songs mix theatrical Spanish pop with sharp, feminist lyrics, and she is now working on her next album, Jesucrista Superstar.

CONTENTS SUMMARY
Qué Más Da (What Does It Matter?)
No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Don't hold back when telling him
that you don't sleep because you're hurt
Oh, my darling
Tell him about that trip

Need a push to let out everything you've been holding back? Spanish singer Rigoberta Bandini teams up with Mexican icon Julieta Venegas for "Qué Más Da" (What Does It Matter?), turning heartbreak into a high-energy dance track. Instead of telling you to hide your pain, the lyrics urge you to spill every messy detail: "No te frenes al contarle / Que no duermes porque estás herida" (Don't hold back from telling them / That you don't sleep because you're hurt). They even encourage you to lean all the way into the theatrics—"Ponte un drama digno de revista" (Put on a drama worthy of a tabloid magazine)—reminding you of moments like "aquel viaje / A Portugal llorando en las esquinas" (that trip to Portugal crying in the street corners).

The chorus hits with an explosive, carefree shrug: "¿Qué más da si se va? / Pues volvemos a empezar" (What does it matter if they leave? / Well, we start over again). It moves fast from venting to liberation, demanding you stop letting grief keep you from the dance floor ("Basta ya de no bailar por desamor" [Enough of not dancing because of heartbreak]). By the time the track wraps with the shouted encouragement "Supéralo amiga" (Get over it, girl friend), the message is loud and clear: spit it all out, jump into the unknown, and remember there are always more lovers on the horizon.

La Emperatriz (The Empress)
Eres nuestra emperatriz
Ahora lo comprendo todo
Entre tanto frenesí
Pienso en ti, entonces lloro
You are our empress
Now I understand everything
In all the frenzy
I think of you, then I cry

Rigoberta Bandini's "La Emperatriz" is a really fun and introspective journey! She starts by declaring someone, perhaps a powerful feminine figure or even herself, as "nuestra emperatriz" [our empress] and admits, "Ahora lo comprendo todo" [Now I understand everything]. Amidst all the chaos, she thinks of this empress and cries, suggesting a deep emotional connection or perhaps a release.

She playfully touches on losing herself, saying, "Me he olvidado de quién fui / Antes de subirme al toro" [I've forgotten who I was / Before getting on the bull], which is a funny way to describe taking on a challenge. Then she quips about searching for happiness on Google and being told to join a choir! Rigoberta also shares her spiritual side, believing in all gods "Desde Asturias hasta Kyoto" [From Asturias to Kyoto], and even calls herself your "sacerdotisa de confianza" [trusted priestess]. The song ends with a simple yet profound question, "El amor, ¿qué es el amor?" [Love, what is love?], and a beautiful answer: "¡El amor es cielo!" [Love is heaven!]. It's a song about finding understanding, a bit of self-discovery, and a lot of love, all wrapped up in her signature quirky style.

Que Vivir Sea Un Jardín (May Living Be a Garden)
Llegaste sin avisar
Fuimos a un parque a saltar
Después me puse a pensar
Y entonces venga a llorar
You arrived without warning
We went to a park to jump
Then I started thinking
And then come cry

Rigoberta Bandini's

Tú Y Yo (You And I)
Ya solo me apetece
Poder volver a casa y partirnos una pizza
Como hacemos los viernes
Ya solo me apetece
I just feel like it
Being able to come home and split a pizza
How we do on Fridays
I just feel like it

Get ready to feel all warm and fuzzy with Rigoberta Bandini's "Tú Y Yo"! This song is a beautiful, intimate look at the simple joys and deep connection in a loving relationship. It's all about those everyday moments that make a partnership so special.

Rigoberta sings about wanting to get back home and share a pizza, just like they do every Friday. She even wants to beat her partner at Connect Four and hear them complain about it! It's these funny, relatable details that make the song so charming. She also dreams of building "diez mil familias" [ten thousand families] but always by her partner's side, where her light shines brightest. The song takes a reflective turn, remembering a day they decided to "decirle sí a la vida" [say yes to life] and wanting to return to their bed to "dormir los 3 bien juntos, que no lo rompa nada" [sleep all 3 together, so nothing breaks it]. It's a sweet, honest celebration of love that grows stronger with time, making you want to grab your loved one and just be together.

SI MURIERA MAÑANA (IF I DIED TOMORROW)
Si muriera mañana
Hoy me iría a la playa a jugar con mi hijo en la arena
Llamaría a esa amiga
Que hace años que ocupa
If I died tomorrow
Today I'd go to the beach to play with my kid in the sand
I'd call that friend
That for years has occupied

Si Muriera Mañana imagines the most intense what-if: what would I do if today were my last day? Rigoberta Bandini answers with a rush of vivid scenes—building sandcastles with her little boy, clinking beers with a long-lost friend, splurging on an expensive lunch with her husband, then unleashing a private, furious prayer in a parking lot. The mix of tenderness, humor, and raw outrage turns mortality into a colorful storyboard of everyday pleasures we usually postpone.

The twist comes when she admits it is all pretend, yet the emotional weight lingers. By picturing death she spotlights life, urging us to hug harder, taste the churros, chase the degree, and keep climbing “más peldaños” for as long as possible. The song’s core message is simple and powerful: live consciously, revel in the small things, and stretch your days like you want 400 years of them.

Qué Más Da (Qu'importe)
No te frenes al contarle

No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Älä pidättele itseäsi kertomasta hänelle
Ettet nuku, koska olet haavoittunut

No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Ona anlatırken kendini tutma
Yaralı olduğun için uyumadığını
Ah, canım benim
Ona o yolculuktan bahset

İçindeki her şeyi filtresizce kusup rahatla diyorlar sana.

No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Ne ustručavaj se da mu kažeš
Da ne spavaš jer si povređena
Ah, živote moj
Ispričaj mu za ono putovanje

Ako prolaziš kroz raskid, španska pevačica Rigoberta Bandini i Julieta Venegas imaju savršen lek: plesni ritam i malo drame bez stida.

No te frenes al contarle

Tanto faz se ele for embora?).

Qué Más Da (Kas par to)
No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Neatturies viņam pastāstīt
Ka neguli, jo esi sāpināta
Ak, mana mīļā
Izstāsti viņam par to ceļojumu

Šis ir enerģisks, nedaudz trakulīgs atbalsta sauciens visām draudzenēm (Supéralo amiga / Pārdzīvo to, draudzene), atgādinot, ka pasaulē mīļāko nekad netrūks un katras beigas nozīmē iespēju sākt no jauna.

Qué Más Da (Was Soll's)
No te frenes al contarle

No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Nie hamuj się, mówiąc mu
Że nie śpisz, bo jesteś zraniona
Ach, kochanie

Zamiast dusić w sobie ból, dziewczyny radzą wywalić wszystko z siebie prosto w twarz: Sácalo, todo tu ser, escúpelo (Wyrzuć to, całe swoje wnętrze, wypluj to). Piosenka zachęca do pełnej ekspresji, nawet jeśli oznacza to wielki płacz – pada tu wprost rada, by zrobić scenę godną telenoweli: Ponte un drama digno de revista (Zrób dramat godny magazynu), i przypomnieć sobie łzy wylewane po kątach podczas wakacji w Portugalii (A Portugal llorando en las esquinas).

No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje

Qué Más Da (Co Na Tom Záleží)
No te frenes al contarle
Que no duermes porque estás herida
Ay, mi vida
Cuéntale lo de aquel viaje
Nezdráhej se mu říct
Že nespíš, protože tě to bolí
Ach, zlato
Pověz mu o té cestě

Taneční pecka Qué Más Da od španělské zpěvačky Rigoberty Bandini a mexické ikony Juliety Venegas funguje jako okamžitá první pomoc pro zlomené srdce. Místo tichého truchlení v koutě tě text přímo nutí vyklopit všechny emoce ven. Zpívá se tu: „Sácalo, todo tu ser, escúpelo“ (Dostaň to ze sebe, celou svou bytost, vyplivni to). Písnička otevřeně přiznává trapné i bolavé momenty, třeba hysterický pláč na dovolené – „aquel viaje a Portugal llorando en las esquinas“ (onen výlet do Portugalska, kde jsi probrečela všechny rohy).

Qué Más Da (Vad Spelar Det För Roll)
No te frenes al contarle

Ach, mijn liefste

Oh, draga moja
Povej mu o tistem potovanju

Španska pevka Rigoberta Bandini in mehiška glasbenica Julieta Venegas v plesnem ritmu pošiljata preprosto sporočilo: če te nekdo zapusti, naj pač gre!

Skratka: preboli to, prijateljica («Supéralo amiga»), in začni znova!

Que Cristo Baje (May Christ Come Down)
Even though I play the game of not persisting
There are so many things left for me to say
That in the end I always end up not saying anything
I don't think I can let go of this truth

Rigoberta Bandini's "Que Cristo Baje" [That Christ Come Down] is a really fun, almost cheeky, look at feeling overwhelmed and a bit lost. Even though I play the game of not persisting / There are so many things I have left to say / That in the end I always end up saying nothing]. It's that feeling when you have so much on your mind that you just shut down.

She's so ready for a break from it all that she jokingly asks, "Quiero que Cristo baje a enseñarme a rezar / Que me acompañe en este viaje semiastral / Pillarnos juntos un billete a las Bahamas" [I want Christ to come down to teach me to pray / To accompany me on this semi-astral journey / For us to grab a ticket to the Bahamas together]. It's a humorous way of saying she needs some serious guidance and a vacation! And she's not afraid to be herself, declaring, "No creo que pueda enjaular mi feminidad / La vio de lejos sin saber a dónde va / Porque este trono se incendió y yo aspiro llamas" [I don't think I can cage my femininity / He saw it from afar without knowing where it's going / Because this throne caught fire and I breathe flames]. It's a powerful statement about embracing her identity and strength.
