MOCEDADES

Mocedades grew out of a family act from Bilbao: the Uranga sisters Amaya, Izaskun and Estíbaliz started singing together as Las Hermanas Uranga in 1967, then as Voces y Guitarras. In 1969 producer Juan Carlos Calderón renamed the vocal group Mocedades.

They represented Spain at Eurovision 1973 with "Eres tú" and finished second. The song, from the album Mocedades 4, reached number 9 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other well-known songs include "Tómame o déjame" and "Pange lingua", and in 2007 they released Mocedades canta a Juan Luis Guerra, an album of Guerra's songs that includes "Burbujas de amor".
