1970, un martes 10 de febrero
1970, on Tuesday, February 10
Mataron en Mazatlán
They killed in Mazatlán
A un amigo muy sincero
To a very sincere friend
Era su nombre de pila
It was his first name
'Manuel Osuna Mañanas
'Manuel Osuna Mornings
Pero era más conocido
But it was better known
Como apodo 'Manuel Salas'
As nickname 'Manuel Salas'
Eran las 12:40
It was 12:40
Al empezar nuevo día
At the beginning of a new day
'Manuel' se andaba paseando
'Manuel' was walking
Con amigos que el tenia
With friends that he had
El andaba disfrutando
He was enjoying
La fiesta del carnaval
The carnival party
También le andaba tocando
I was also touching him
Una banda regional
A regional band
Pero la muerte llego
But death came
Ya fue imposible escapar
It was impossible to escape
Aquel amigo sincero
That sincere friend
Ya todo sabía tratar
I already knew how to deal with everything
Mas no se supo porque
But it was not known why
Fue la causa de su muerte
It was the cause of his death
Porque se andaba paseando
Because he was walking
Le toco la mala suerte
He had bad luck
Ya murió un hombre afamado
A famous man has already died
Conocido en la región
Known in the region
Que lo sorprendió la muerte
That death surprised him
A oirás del maletón
You will hear from the briefcase
