Te Esquecendo (Lembrei De Você) Lyrics in English by Nilson Neto, ROCA MUSIC
Insônia translates directly to "insomnia". It's a relatable word that many people experience, making it immediately engaging.
In the song, the artist sings, "Quem 'tá com saudade só sente insônia" (Whoever is missing someone only feels insomnia). This line beautifully connects the physical struggle of sleeplessness with the emotional pain of longing and saudade, a uniquely Portuguese feeling of deep nostalgic yearning. It's a powerful word that captures the song's melancholic theme.
Have you ever tried really hard to forget someone, only to have everything remind you of them? That's exactly what Nilson Neto and ROCA MUSIC are singing about in "Te Esquecendo (Lembrei De Você)" [Forgetting You (I Remembered You)]. Our singer is having the "Primeira noite sem você aqui" [First night without you here] and it's rough! They even tried to disappear, but even melatonin can't help them sleep when they're missing someone so much.
It gets even more relatable when they decide to finally leave the house to try and forget, but the moment they step outside, they remember their ex. Then, a loud song comes on playing the tunes their ex loved, or they think about their ex's morning routine, listening to Luan Santana. It's like every sound and sight just brings back memories, making it impossible to escape. It's a super honest look at how hard it is to move on when someone is still everywhere you look.
