Chris Jedi, born Carlos Enrique Ortiz Rivera in 1989, is one of the most in demand record producers in Puerto Rico, and he still works out of San Juan. He started out as a teenage singer before Luny Tunes handed him his first real break behind the boards, and he never looked back.
His credits read like a roll call of reggaeton and Latin trap: Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Arcángel, Ozuna, De La Ghetto, Anuel AA and Bad Bunny have all recorded over his beats. He usually builds them alongside his longtime partner Gaby Music, and the pair took Billboard Latin Music Producer of the Year in 2019. On a track like this one he steps out from behind the console and takes the mic himself, bringing the same hard, hypnotic sound he makes for everybody else.
