BILLO'S CARACAS BOYS

ARTIST BIO

Billo's Caracas Boys is a legendary Venezuelan dance orchestra founded in Caracas on August 31, 1940, by Dominican-born bandleader Luis María “Billo” Frómeta, debuting at the Roof Garden ballroom in the city center. Their festive sound made them a staple of celebrations across Venezuela and beyond.

Their repertoire blends Caribbean styles such as merengue, guaracha, porro, bolero, and cumbia, and their New Year favorite “Año Nuevo” is part of December traditions for many fans. Through the decades, they featured standout vocalists including Felipe Pirela, Cheo García, and Memo Morales. Today, the orchestra’s legacy continues to draw audiences across Latin America.
