Sigues Preguntando Lyrics in English by Alex Rose
Bajándome la movie is a colloquial and very expressive phrase that literally translates to "bringing down my movie." It's a vivid way to say someone is ruining your good mood, vibe, or the positive atmosphere you've created.
In this song, the artist uses it to tell his partner that her constant questioning and jealousy are spoiling his good time and reputation, essentially "killing his vibe" or "ruining his movie" (his life's narrative or current good situation).
The whole song is one argument, and all of it happens on a phone. Someone keeps going through the narrator's messages, and he keeps answering with the line the song is named after: "¿Por qué sigues preguntando?" [Why do you keep asking?]. He already told her no. She asks again anyway.
What keeps it funny rather than bleak is how thin the evidence is. The whole case against him is "Todo porque se me safó un like" [All because a 'like' slipped out], plus a private message that opened with 'Hi'. He is not defending an affair, he is defending a thumb. His counter-argument is that she already won: "Eres la official y pa' las demás no hay break" [You're the official one, and for the rest there's no opening]. It lands badly. The same suspicion turns up "To' los días con el mismo veneno" [Every day with the same poison], and the chorus does not resolve the fight so much as start it over.
