Ik Wens Jou Lyrics in English by Trinity
Schuilplaats translates to "shelter" or "hiding place". It's a beautiful and evocative word that isn't as common as 'house' or 'roof', making it more unique and memorable.
In "Ik Wens Jou," the song expresses deep wishes for protection and well-being. The line "En vindt voor jou een schuilplaats" (And finds a shelter for you) perfectly encapsulates the song's theme of care and safety, promising a safe haven amidst life's challenges. This word offers a sense of comfort and security, inviting listeners to explore the song's heartfelt message.
Imagine someone wrapping you in the coziest blanket of wishes: a sturdy roof overhead, fresh bread on the table, peaceful sleep, and the promise of true love waiting just around the corner. Ik Wens Jou is Trinity’s heartfelt blessing set to music, where each verse feels like a handwritten postcard filled with life’s simplest yet richest treasures. She sings of homes that feel like havens, days bursting with purpose, and evenings lit by crackling fires that chase away the chill.
More than a lullaby, the song is a universal prayer for protection, friendship, and contentment. Trinity layers everyday comforts—a wall against the wind, a coat in the rain, a loyal friend at your side—with deeper wishes: peace in your identity, joy shared with others, and love that lasts through every season. By the final lines she steps into the role of guardian angel, promising to stand beside you for life. It’s an uplifting reminder that true wealth isn’t measured in money, but in shelter, warmth, companionship, and the freedom to live and love without fear.
